I had another round of Chemo today....

And I am SO SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I have been having problems with my kidneys caused by one of the chemo drugs, Avastin, so today they couldn't give me that drug.  They are worried because I am still so dehydrated.  My husband tells me how simple that is to fix..."just drink more!"  If it were only that easy...(the more I drink, the more I vomit...the more I vomit, the more dehydrated I get...and the cycle continues!)  I begged the dr. to review my information and commit to a date when my chemo will be over.  He promised me that he would let me know by the end of the week.  I want to plan a CHEMO free vacation...and I think knowing when the end is will help me see the light at the end of the tunnel.   I still have my fanny pack pump, and my port site is getting very sore and irritated from being constantly accessed by a needle.  My hands are hurting pretty bad right now as I type, so I am signing off.  Thanks for listening!

I'm very excited for you to be able to type pain free and be able to do all that you dream of doing.

Tell your hubby to start an IV on you! (Not that you need anymore needles). That's the quickest way to rehydrate. I'm sorry this has been such a rough trial, but know what you're an inspiration to us and lots of people love you. :) I hope you're feeling better soon and know that you're in our prayers. Love ya!

How hard it is to force mind over matter. I wish I knew of something that could help. My prayers are that you will continue to have the stamina to be victorious over the struggles of each day. I weep for the misery you are going through. I plead with the Lord daily to comfort and assist you. My hope is that you have much to divert your attention and emotions elsewhere: giggles, surprises, and peaceful, undisturbed sleep to give you extra strength.

Oh boo bah, I keep wishing that these complications will go away because chemo is complicated enough. Great idea to plan a chemo free vacation though, it could be just what the doctor ordered. You are doing such a great job at continuing and you are such an inspiration to me. We are praying for you and your family and we love you!
