This blog was a place to share fun pictures of the kids, our adventures, an other antics. I am sorry it has now turned into a reporting on the darn C word... and it's effects on MY family.
My kids are still my treasures and we still have fun together. It just doesn't seem like the camera is ever around...and the events are now SO simple, that they hardly seem worthy of report. But as I sit here...I realize that they are...and they are beautiful moments just as important as the ones I thought to mention before. (Perspective... I am gaining more each day! ) Thanks for listening...

Love you, Shanda! Blogs are for sharing whatever you want to share, so don't feel bad about sharing! I hope you continue to feel better and I'm so happy to hear that the insurance is covering the surgery. I hate dealing with insurance in general, but so glad when they actually do what they're supposed to do! You're in our thoughts and prayers!

P.S. Love the new hairdo. :)
Such a great thought Shanda and I agree, I often feel like blogs hit the big events and miss the more personal, tender, probably more important moments that are hard to put into words and hard to share - the feel of your little ones nose pressed to yours, the giggles at a familiar story, the warmth of their cuddles, the depth in their eyes. It's hard to write these and explain them adequately, but they are so important. I'm sure your perspective makes them even more so. I love what you do post and appreciate all the updates - on you and on your family, keep it all coming when you can. Our love and prayers are with you!
what's interesting, though, is that your "big" moments are helping me have a better perspective in my "little" moments. And if you were taking the time to blog all the little moments, then you probably wouldn't have time to actually have those little moments :) so...keep doing what you're doing!
your hair looks so stinkin good. love you tons-glad you're feeling better and wanting to eat chocolate :)
Super cute haircut, it looks great. Thanks for helping me keep perspective on life and for reminding me to treasure each day and of course, those little moments. I love what Lolo said, I think it's a good thing if we're too busy to blog because we're off having those little moments. Those little moments certainly add up... now if I can only find a way for my house to clean itself so I can enjoy more of those moments then I think I'll really be onto something!!! I hope you got to eat some chocolate!
Your hair is darling. Your strength is inspiring.
Shanda....I so relate to "I remember when...." SOmetimes you wonder if life will ever be as simple and easy and pleasant again... as it used to be. I, too, seem to have lost my camera; or the fun has just gone out of recording my life. Still, like you, I have to stop and count the blessings. They ARE there. Meanwhile, my heart goes out to you...and I know that deep down somewhere there is the strength to deal with what seems impossibly hard. My prayers are with you.
No apologies needed! We all glean from the perspective you share! Please do add photos as you feel inclined. The candid everyday shots mean more to even casual acquaintances than you could ever imagine!
