Showering! That amazing gift has been returned after MONTHS. I have been able to shower for about a week now and everyday, I just want to stand there until there until the hot water gives out. For months, I had to bathe in about 4 inches of water, skillfully scrub the rest, and wash my hair in the kitchen sink. It is amazing to just stand in warm, running water without the fear that you will get some attached pump or some wound wet. I am SO grateful to be able to shower!!!!!

amen
tender mercies from the Lord. thanks for sharing beautiful shanda! love you!
You help me to better count my blessings and reflect upon those things I too take for granted. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!!
sounds like the time to invest in a endless water heater! I love mine!
Showers are the BEST!! I just love seeing you back to being you again. it's been awesome!!
For some reason this post brought to mind one of my favorite scriptural analogies using dew and small rain for tender plants and showers for well rooted grass. (Deuteronomy 32:1 & 2)
hahah....your van!!!! You are such an old lady :)
My lesson on Sunday is giving thanks and apperciation. Nik said he agreed with you on the shower. He said he couldn't live without the shower. He takes 1/2 hour to 1 hour shower every day. I also like a shower blasting down and really hot. So off now to enjoy one!!!
I check into your blog from time to time and I just want to tell you how strong of a woman and wife and mother you are. I can't begin to imagine what you have or are going through. But your attitude to keep going no matter what is such an amazing example of strength to others. May the lord bless you and your family. Thank you for allowing others inside your journey.
Awesome!!!
wow, reading your journey and how far you`ve come...it`s amazing :) I can only imagine how happy your girls must be to have you doing "Mom duties". God bless, and take care :) ...and enjoy those showers!
