Oh what a day...
Last night the alarm on my continuous pump went off and alerted me that it was out of the chemo liquid...so I got to go have the pump removed for the next 6 days. So last night, I got to toss and turn ALL night without getting tangled up...this morning I got to take a FULL shower (which I hadn't been able to do in 3 weeks)...and this evening I went to the pool with my kids for a little while. I actually felt human...it was AMAZING! It is a shortlived pleasure, since I will be hooked back up again soon, but I will cherish every moment until then!

Isn't it wonderful when "normal" feels so good.
I'm so glad you had a fantastic day. You need more of them! I'm glad you realized that your kids will quickly forget this hard summer and will remember all the great times past and the great times to come. It's a time to be "selfish" and I know that's impossible for you but you have to try. You are doing everything you can for your kids by getting healthy again. I hope you enjoy your freedom days and that it goes okay when they hook you up again!
Hooray for the little moments. We keep praying that more and more "normal" is coming your way!
Just like Pinocchio..."I had strings, but now I'm free! There are no strings on me!"
it's the little things that count. cherish em'! that's what you have taught me! thanks!
Because of you I find myself being grateful each day for a normal day. You have a great way of sharing how you feel and what is going on but you are still so upbeat and just all around amazing! You are a strength and hero to many!!!
