A ViCtoRy!

I am counting all good progress as victories in this battle!  In the last couple of days I have been miraculously able to secure appointments with all of the 3 Dr's that I wanted to get in to. (for this huge surgery and HIPEC chemo) I have researched so much and I am confident that I will be meeting with at least 2 of the top 3 in the nation for this procedure!! These are very niche specialists and getting appointments in their offices is quite the task.  Strange things happened and connections were made where I actually got in...and my appointments start this next monday.  I am so grateful they cleared room for me so that I can get more questions answered quickly.

I have been guided in my path and recognize so strongly that I am not walking this path alone.  I have never before felt so strongly that my Father in Heaven is aware of me..

I have also made contact with a new wonderful friend that has given me great hope.  She is my age, has my cancer, and was diagnosed at about the same progression of the cancer.  She had the surgery and chemo and has been 4+ years cancer FREE!!  I don't even know how to explain how our paths crossed...but I so badly needed to hear her story and experience.  I have been lucky enough to talk/email a few different people who have been through this process and they are so willing to share support, information, and encouragement.  I am grateful...SO grateful...to all of them.

Monday and Tuesday I have big appointments all over state...and I should get more information.  I feel good about this week's progress...and I am gaining strength each day!  I WILL beat this!!

Your amazing researching skills along with all that tenacity always pays off lady! And yes, your Heavenly Father is absolutely helping and guiding you through all of this! So glad that the victory's are coming and mostly that you feel confident/good about the doctors you've chosen and will shortly see. Let me know when the appointments are and I'll gladly help out with your girls!

What a beautiful blessing Shanda. I love to hear stories where you almost can see the Lord step by step with you, guiding you, and making things work the way they are suppose to. In telling your story to some cancer patients that I have interacted with here lately, it sounds like you may have found some of the best in the country, no fabrication. I am so happy that you will get the help you need and fast!

To a victorious battle won, cheers!

Shanda, we are all praying fervently for you and your family. This is a big, big amazing miracle story and I know it will be a best seller a year from now when all the dust settles. If ever you have any needs or questions when you are in Spokane, feel free to contact our daughter, Katie, who is a resident physician at Sacred Heart. I keep her informed on your status and they are praying as well. Always in God's hands!

Shanda,
What a great post. I'm so glad that you are able to talk with the right doctors and even more, to talk to a survivor. Soon, it will be you talking to others who have been hit by the surprise accompanied by cancer, giving them hope and telling them your own story of victory. I am so excited to see what you learn at your appointments! The Lord is not only mindful of you, but actively involved in your life. Keep us posted!
